About us
We are a Southampton based voluntary group which promotes the ethical, environmental and health benefits of a plant-based diet.
We came into existence in 2008 as a food buying group, having recognised the difficulties of obtaining basic vegan essentials in our city. However, with the creation of Rice Up Wholefoods Ltd - a new and exciting all-vegan shop in the city centre - we have ceased to operate as a food buying group.
We now focus on our outreach and educational work, taking part in local community fairs and offering information and free food samples to the public. We also hold food-tasting street stalls, organise library displays and give talks to community groups and schools.
