Do I have to order every eight weeks?
No. If you don't need anything when our next order comes around you are not under any obligation to buy anything.
How do I know which products are vegan?
Vegan Future's main supplier is Essential Trading who do not stock solely vegan goods. They have a very clear key system on their website and in their price list for indicating which products are vegan, vegetarian, organic, fair trade and gluten free. Vegan Future has a price list containing all popular/requested products within the co-operative - this list contains vegan-only products. If you would like to order something not on the VF price list but from the Essential catalogue then it is your responsibility to check that this product is vegan.
Is there a minimum amount that I have to order?
No. We already meet our cumilative minimum order requirement therefore you are welcome to order as little or as much as you actually need. However, due to Essential Trading being a wholesaler they only offer products in bulk so for example if you require baked beans, the smallest pack size they offer is six tins.
Can we divide large pack sizes between members?
Yes, but you will need to organise this before you place the order as the rest of the co-op will not take responsibility for unwanted stock. In the future, we would like to work towards having a virtual 'store' so that any unwanted/left over items may be added to this and purchased at a later date.
The order form states that non-organic products cost incur a 5% price increase. Why?
It was decided that whilst we wouldn't like to alienate any members that may not wish to buy organic by only offering organic products, we wanted to provide an incentive for members to make the switch as it's something we all feel quite passionately about. Additionally, any surplus funds generated, after paying for running costs of the co-op, will be donated to worthy causes!
